Pleb Say #17
We had an incredible club meet-up in August, and we were fortunate to have Michael Atwood, Co-Founder of Oshi and the host of the Austin Bitcoin Club, join us! During this Pleb Say, Michael shared his fascinating Bitcoin journey, including founding the Bakersfield Bitcoin meet-up and eventually finding his way to the Lone Star State. He's been remarkably successful in onboarding businesses in Miami through guerrilla marketing and in Austin, Texas, even with renowned establishments like Three Forks, the city's top steakhouse. Michael also hosted the first-ever bitcoin block party on Rainey St., which featured numerous bars and food trucks accepting Bitcoin and rewarding over 600 bitcoiners. It was a historic night that truly cemented the Bitcoin circular economy's growth in Texas.
Michael also delved into Oshi and how they are revolutionizing loyalty and rewards programs. He explained how Bitcoin rewards outshine traditional loyalty programs like coffee points and flight miles, as Bitcoin's value tends to appreciate over time, giving customers greater purchasing power and encouraging them to learn more about Bitcoin and become repeat customers. This benefits both businesses and customers. S.A.B.C extends a huge shoutout to Michael and Oshi for generously sharing their time and knowledge with us. Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties, we were unable to record this meet-up, so there's no video or audio available for this Pleb Say.
